The graph shows the reading penetration rate in Brazil in 2011 and 2015, by book type. During a survey, 56 percent of respondents in Brazil stated in 2015 that they read books in general. In 2015, the reading penetration rate for self-chosen books was at 50 percent, up from 38 percent in 2011.
