This statistic shows the number of times adults with gastrointestinal problems in the U.S. sought treatment from an alternative practitioner in the past year as of February 2017, by age. It was found that 94 percent of those aged 46 and older did not receive treatment for their gastrointestinal problems from an alternative practitioner or therapist, compared to 72 percent of those aged 18 to 30 years.
