The public opinion of respondents from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg (Benelux) on the economic situation in their respective countries varied greatly in 2023. According to this survey, the public opinion in the Netherlands and Luxembourg was highly positive, whereas contrasted opinions were found in Belgium.
In May and June of 2023, around half of Belgian respondents thought their national economic situation was bad, while 53 percent of them held positive views. On the other hand, 87 percent of respondents in Luxembourg and 74 percent of respondents in the Netherlands stated that the current situation of their respective economies was good.
