Print media advertising expenditure declined dramatically over the period from 2011 to 2020, although advertising spending generally increased. As a result of the coronavirus outbreak in 2020, only online media advertising increased in Finland during the year 2020 and 2021, while traditional media saw the largest declines in advertising spending.
