Correspondingly, websites and apps of newspapers narrowly surpassed television as the most used source of news in 2024. In addition to news websites, the use of radio news broadcasts to follow the news became more popular among Finns between 2021 and 2024.

Decline in print newspapers amid digital transformation

The prevalence of internet-based news sources comes as Finland's newspaper industry faces ongoing changes.
