Canada's national greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in 2022 increased to *** million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (MtCOâ‚‚e). This represented an annual increase of *** percent, and an overall decrease of seven percent from 2005 levels. The North American country has set the target of slashing its GHG emissions by ** to ** percent by 2030, relative to 2005 levels.
