In the second quarter of 2024/25, over 104 thousand individuals had to wait twelve hours or more from the decision to admit to admission. While this was lower in comparison to the fourth quarter of 2023/24, it was still significantly higher than the number of patients in waiting before Q2 2021/22. Before then, the number of patients, admitted through A&E, who waited more than 12 hrs before admittance was less than 10,000.
