LG Electronics continues to demonstrate strong performance in its home appliance segment, with projected revenue of 23.2 billion U.S. dollars for 2024. This segment remains a cornerstone of the company's business, outpacing other divisions such as home entertainment and mobile communications. The South Korean electronics giant's diverse portfolio is divided into home entertainment, mobile communications, home appliance and air solutions, and vehicle component solutions. Overall, the company’s annual revenue reached over 60 billion U.S. dollars in 2024.

CE companies show different strengths

While LG's home appliance segment leads its revenue streams, other major electronics companies show different strengths. For example, in contrast to LG, Sony’s game and network services constitute the company’s largest segment. Meanwhile, Samsung’s mobile experience was the company’s largest segment by a considerable margin. This highlights the varying focuses within the industry, with some companies excelling in entertainment technology while others, like LG, maintain strength in household appliances. 

Strong competition in the audio market

The consumer electronics landscape extends beyond major conglomerates, with specialized audio equipment manufacturers also vying for market share. Bose Corporation, a leader in audio equipment, reported annual sales revenue of 3.1 billion U.S. dollars in fiscal year 2024, showing growth from previous years. In contrast, smaller players like Audio Pro in Sweden and Bang & Olufsen in Denmark have experienced fluctuating revenues in recent years. This illustrates the dynamic nature of the audio equipment market, where companies of various sizes compete for consumer attention.
