Data for 2021 do not include estimates for visits across the Irish land border. No data for the Eurotunnel was gathered from January 2021 to June 2022 but estimates include the passenger numbers using that route. Â

The monthly expenditure of overseas tourists in the United Kingdom generally increased in 2023 over the previous year. For example, in ****, inbound visitors spent **** billion British pounds in the UK. By contrast, this figure amounted to just *** billion British pounds in the same month of 2022.
