BBC radio station performance remained strong recently. In the first quarter of 2026, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 1 were among the most popular stations in the United Kingdom, with 49 percent and 40 percent of respondents respectively. In terms of news consumption, BBC Radio 2 was the most used radio station for news in 2025 among consumers aged 16 and above, followed by BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 1.
