Respondents were asked in Hebrew and Arabic: "In your opinion, how long should the campaign continue?"

The survey included 500 Jewish and 99 Arab respondents, forming a representative sample of the adult population in Israel. The maximum error for the entire sample was ±4% at a 95% confidence level.

Citation formats

According to a survey by IDI from early March 2026, approximately half of Israelis believed that the military operation in Iran should continue until both its military and political goals are achieved. These include the elimination of Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities, as well as overthrowing the Iranian government. Additionally, some 35.5 percent believed that the operation should end after it achieves its military goals only.

On February 28, 2026, the U.S. and Israel initiated a military offense in Iran, which they termed a 'preemptive strike.' Since then, Iran has retaliated with daily barrages on Israel and other Middle Eastern countries.
