This statistic presents the distribution of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of a car throughout its life cycle, by type of car. Thus, while ** percent of the greenhouse gas emissions of electric cars come from their production, their operation produces no CO2. For internal combustion engine cars, it is the opposite since although their production emits fewer GHGs, their use proves to be much more polluting.
