According to the Ministry of the Environment, Energy and the Sea, the accumulation of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere contributes two-thirds to the increase in the greenhouse effect caused by human activities (combustion of gas, oil, deforestation…). Current CO2 emissions will impact atmospheric concentrations and global temperature in the coming years, as its lifespan in the atmosphere is about one hundred years.
