This statistic shows the percent of parents who talked about menstruation with their daughters in selected European countries in 2016, by gender. In all surveyed European countries, these types of conversations were more frequently initiated by women. In Spain, 19 percent of surveyed mothers talked to their daughters about menstruation, while only 9 percent of fathers did the same.
