The COVID-19 pandemic marked the year 2020 and significantly affected various market sectors. Thus, it is not surprising that the Swedish group Hennes & Mauritz had an after-tax profit of just million euros in the 2020 fiscal year compared to nearly *** billion euros recorded during the previous fiscal year. However, in 2021, with the vaccination campaign and the lifting of many restrictions, the situation began to improve to the point that the company recorded profits exceeding *** billion euros at the end of the fiscal year. This situation did not repeat in 2022, with a considerable decrease in profits, but it did in 2023 and 2024. H&M's earnings in that last year were around **** billion euros.
