After a bleak 2020 for Spanish tourism due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021 marked the beginning of a recovery that strengthened in 2022 and 2023. Thus, tourists from France spent approximately billion euros in August 2023 alone, representing an increase of about *** million compared to the amount recorded during the same month of the previous year.
