As a major revenue driver, business travel supports various sectors, including hospitality, transportation, and dining. In 2023 alone, the United States recorded over 3.5 million international business visitor arrivals. But while international business travel remains important, domestic business travel also plays a vital role, with approximately 413 million domestic business trips taking place in the same year. The United States reported the second-highest expenditure by domestic and inbound business tourists among the world’s strongest economies in 2023, significantly surpassing the European Union and the United Kingdom. That year, the United Kingdom was the most popular country of origin for international business tourism in the United States that year, followed by Japan and Germany.
