In January 2022, two of the largest acquisitions in the industry to date occurred just one week apart. On January 10, Take-Two Interactive announced the purchase of the social gaming company Zynga. On January 18, it was Microsoft that surprised with the acquisition of Activision Blizzard for nearly **** billion U.S. dollars.
