In this chart based on an Ipsos survey conducted in January 2022, we can observe the issues that the French consider to be most emphasized by the presidential election candidates and the media. More than half of the French (** percent) felt that the most highlighted issue was the Covid-19 epidemic. The next most frequently mentioned issue was immigration, cited by ** percent of respondents. It can be seen that the issues most emphasized by the candidates do not necessarily align with the concerns of the French.
