The winner of the Dutch general election of 2025 was the young party D66 that obtained the same amount of votes than the Party of Freedom with 26 seats each. Rob Jetten and his party do not have enough seats to govern by themselves however and must negotiate with the other parties in order to form a governing coalition of at least 76 seats.Â
Even if changing the political sign of the government, the 2025 elections showed a very divided vote across the country.Â
