Discrimination against people of African descent in Europe remains a pressing issue, often targeting those from ethnic minorities and based on skin color. According to the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, over the past five years, 38 percent of people of African descent have faced discrimination primarily due to their skin color.
At the same time, ethnic and immigrant background was also among the most common bases of discrimination, with 30 percent of respondents reporting such experiences in the last five years.
