According to a survey conducted in 2024 in the United Kingdom, girls and young women from marginalized groups were more likely to experience online harm than those from non-marginalized groups. Half of girls of color had seen mean comments online, compared to 36 percent of white girls. Additionally, 41 percent of disabled girls had seen rude pictures, compared to 19 percent of non-disabled girls.
