According to a survey from late 2023 conducted in the United States, Black consumers were significantly more likely to prefer TV shows and movies that reflect their identity. Over half of Black respondents said they actively seek content featuring actors who look like them, and ** percent mentioned the importance of having diverse creative teams behind the scenes. In contrast, only ** percent of white Americans expressed a preference for watching content with actors who resemble them.
