A March to June 2024 survey of video game professionals found that ** percent of respondents who had been working as game designers had been laid off and had found a new job within the past year. Another eight percent of responding game designers had been laid off and were currently unemployed. Additionally, ** percent of respondents from this cohort stated that they had left by their choice.
