Share of U.S. children with eczema as of 2021, by race
In 2021, it was estimated that around 14 percent of non-Hispanic Black children and adolescents in the United States had eczema. In comparison, around聽nine percent of non-Hispanic Asian children and adolescents had been diagnosed with eczema at that time. Eczema is also known as atopic dermatitis and is a skin condition that causes rashes and dry, itchy skin.
