In 2023, it was estimated that around 11 percent of children and adolescents in the Northeast of the United States aged under 17 years had been diagnosed with asthma by a doctor or other health professional at some point in their life. In comparison, the prevalence of asthma among children and adolescents in the Midwest was 9.9 percent.
