As of 2022, the prevalence of lifetime asthma among non-Hispanic Black adults in the U.S. was around 17.6 percent. In comparison, it was estimated that around 12.7 percent of Hispanic adults had at some point in their life been told by a doctor or other health professional that they had asthma.
