Since the military coup in Myanmar in February 2021, the number of incidents of violence against civilians in the country exploded, from just 10 in January that year to 117 in February. Ever since, it has been well above 100 with only a few exceptions, and even reaching above 250 in September 2021. The Myanmar civil war has displaced millions in the country.
