In a 2023 survey conducted among journalists about their perceptions of media organizations and their coverage of political parties in India, about ** percent of respondents indicated that there is favouritism or bias towards one party in news coverage. When asked which party they felt was favoured, about ** percent of these respondents pointed to the Bharatiya Janata Party, while around percent believed that the media favours the Congress Party in its coverage.
