A 2023 survey among gamers in the United States, the United Kingdom (UK), and South Korea found that cheating and tampering were the most common toxic online multiplayer behaviors encountered by the respondents. About three-quarters of respondents stated that they had encountered toxic behaviors in the past 12 months while playing online multiplayer games.
