Video game and computer game are terms often used interchangeably. The game is defined by being controlled electronically, with corresponding imagery appearing on a computer monitor or other display. In Germany, there was around 6.4 billion euros in revenue made from the sales of computer and video games. Console games remained the most popular among buyers in recent years, while games for handhelds and mobile devices recorded falling sales. In 2023, over 50 percent of people in the country played computer games.
