A 2023 survey held in the United States found that 47 percent of responding adults whose political standpoint was Conservative Republican said it was important to them that the news they got came from journalists who share their political views. Moderate or Liberal Republicans were less concerned with this issue, whereas Democrats at the Liberal end of the spectrum were the most likely to want news from journalists who were open about their political stance.
