Survey on the legislative proposal to legalize cannabis in Germany in 2023 and 2024
The German Bundestag passed the law on the legalization of small amounts of cannabis in February 2024, but the law still had to be passed in the Bundesrat. In the future, the private cultivation and consumption of cannabis will be permitted.
Regarding this, around 42 percent of respondents found that this draft law was the right action in 2024, while 52 percent thought it was wrong. This shows a decrease in agreement with the draft law compared to the previous year, when about 50 percent of respondents thought legalization was the correct action.
