Quarterly value of CET1 capital of banking industry in Luxembourg 2014-2025
The amount of Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) capital in the banking industry in Luxembourg increased overall between 2016 and 2025, despite slight fluctuations. In the first quarter of 2016, the CET1 capital reached its highest value by exceeding 80 billion euros. Although it declined after the first quarter of 2016, it consistently remained above the levels observed between 2014 and 2015, never dropping below 43.6 billion euros during this period. As of the first quarter of 2025, it amounted to 55.85 billion euros, which was a slight increase when compared to the previous quarter.
