According to a survey conducted in 2022, ** percent of public K-12 teachers said that they would choose to carry a firearm if their school implemented a program allowing teachers to be armed in the United States. However, male teachers located in rural areas were most likely to share this belief, at ** percent. In comparison, only ** percent of female teachers in suburban areas said that they would choose to carry a firearm at school.
