According to a December 2023 survey conducted among adults in the United States, women were overall more likely than men to use emojis when sending messages to other people. Up to 27 percent of female respondents reported using emojis in messages multiple times per day, compared to only 19 percent of male respondents. Overall, one in ten men said they never used emojis, compared to one in twenty women who reported the same.
