According to exit polls for the 2024 South Carolina Republican primary, former President Donald Trump led the way among the majority of voters despite the election having taken place in Haley's home state. However, the vote was split more evenly among voters between the age of 30 and 44, with Trump receiving 57 percent of the vote, and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley receiving 42 percent of the vote.
