According to a survey conducted in July 2023, a few days after the fatal shooting of Nahel Merzouk by a police officer and after riots in suburban areas of Paris, ** percent of French respondents believed Emmanuel Macron and the main ministers involved, did not handle the situation well. Only percent of those surveyed were convinced that the French president and his government did a good job of dealing with the crisis.
