In 2021-2022, it was estimated that around 0.7 percent of Asian adults in the United States suffered from myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, compared to 1.5 percent of white adults. Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome is characterized by overwhelming fatigue that is not improved by rest and may limit activity.
