GHG emissions include COâ‚‚ (fossil only), CHâ‚„, Nâ‚‚O and F-gases. They are aggregated using Global Warming Potential values from IPCC AR5 (GWP-100 AR5).

Greenhouse gas emissions in the Nordics 1990-2024, by country
The combined annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of the Nordic countries increased by almost 30 percent from 2010 to 2024, to  MtCO₂e. Norway recorded the highest emissions within the region, with roughly **** MtCO₂e emitted in 2024. Sweden ranked a close second, with MtCO₂e. Meanwhile, Iceland's GHG emissions have remained more or less stable in the past three decades.
