In 2024, the share of electric passenger cars in the Norwegian fleet, including both plug-in hybrid and battery vehicles, stood at **** percent, the highest figure among Nordic countries. In fact, electric cars accounted for over 90 percent of newly registered passenger vehicles in Norway that year.

Iceland had the second-highest electric passenger car penetration across the Nordics, with BEVs and PHEVs accounting for **** percent of the country's passenger car fleet.
