Figures were calculated by ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ using data provided by the source
Figures aggregated using Global Warming Potential values from IPCC AR5 (GWP-100 AR5).
Power Industry - Power and heat generation plants (public & autoproducers)
Industrial combustion - Combustion for industrial manufacturing
Buildings – Small scale non-industrial stationary combustion
Transport – Mobile combustion (road & rail & ship & aviation)
Agriculture Agricultural soils, crop residues burning, enteric fermentation, manure management
Fuel exploitation - Production, transformation and refining of fuels
Processes - Industrial processes (e.g. emissions from the production of cement, iron and steel, aluminum, chemicals, solvents, etc.)
Waste - Solid waste disposal and waste water treatment

Change in methane emissions in Russia 1990-2022, by sector
Methane emissions from Russian's fuel exploitation, waste, and industrial combustion and processes sectors have all observed overall increases in methane emissions since 1990. Russia's industrial combustion and processes-related methane emissions were ** percent higher in 2022 when compared to 1990 levels, and ** percent higher when compared to 2005 levels. Meanwhile, Russia's agriculture-related methane emissions have fallen notably when compared to 1990 levels, though have seen little change since 2005.Â
