In Finland, in 2022, card was the most used payment method in terms of the number of transactions at points of sale (POS), being used in 70 percent of payment instances. Cash payment was used at a share of 19 percent. When it came to the value of transactions at POS, card payments had the highest value, as 75 percent of the transacted value was due to bank cards, the value of cash transactions reached 12 percent.
