Supplementary notes
*Carbon dioxide intensity is the ratio of COâ‚‚ emissions from fuel combustion over Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and measures the COâ‚‚ emitted to generate one unit of GDP. GDP is expressed at constant exchange rate (2015 U.S. dollar, using purchasing power parities). This removes the impact of inflation. COâ‚‚ emissions cover only the emissions for fossil fuels combustion.
