Since 2014, the annual survey measured the sense of personal safety and harm from diverse crimes. Respondents are asked about their experiences with crime during the previous 12 months.Â
As of 2017, the annual survey period begins in October of the previous year and ends in September of the following year. Therefore, the data for 2023 refers to the period from October 2022 to September 2023.
