A national survey conducted from March to April 2024 revealed that ** percent of adult women in Mexico felt unsafe at ATMs located on the street, whereas around ** percent of the adult men interviewed said the same. The perceived level of insecurity was also almost ** percentage points higher among women than men when it comes to visiting a bank. In the same line, around ** of every 100 women in the country felt unsafe in their own homes.
