The source adds the following information: "The National Crime Victim Survey is an annual victim survey targeted at Finnish residents aged 15 to 74 years. The survey covers assaults as well as thefts and includes crimes not reported to the police. The survey also includes questions about fear of crime."
According to a crime victim survey, roughly four percent of Finns had feared becoming a victim of violence by a family member during 2020. The share of people who were afraid of domestic violence in Finland remained between four and five percent in the period from 2012 to 2020.
