Between 2014 and 2022, the European Union (EU) has progressively increased its energy transition targets for 2030. In 2022, the European Commission proposed to rise the targets of renewables up to **% by 2030 through the REPowerEU Plan. This decision represents an increment of **% from the targets settled in 2014 by EU leaders.
