In 2023, electricity generation from wind in the European Union stood at roughly 480 terawatt hours, with onshore installations accounting for more than 85 percent of the total production. By 2030, onshore wind power generation in the region is forecast to reach approximately 630 terawatt hours, while offshore wind production is projected to increase to 200 terawatt hours.
