Carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions are projected to reduce annually with the introduction of more renewable energy in Russia. More specifically, CO₂ emissions in the country are forecast to decline by **** million metric tons in 2024 from the volume recorded in 2014. In total, between 2014 and 2035, they are expected to decrease by ** million metric tons. According to government plans, renewables are to account for around percent of the total energy capacity installed in Russia in 2035.
